Life Story for Raymond G. Valentine

VALENTINE – Raymond G., 82, Davidsville, died Oct. 20, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born Aug. 1, 1930, in Jerome, son of the late Raymond F. and Sadie E. (Ohler) Valentine. Survived by wife of 60 years, the former Isabelle A. Vitko; sisters, Dorothy, married to George Lybarger, Soap Hollow, and Phyllis Gregory, Johnstown; brother, Robert Valentine, Maple Ridge; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A retired foreman for Bethlehem Steel, Corp., Johnstown, where he worked for 36 years. Ray enjoyed spending time working in his yard. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Pastor Frank Young, presiding. Interment, Grandview Mausoleum with military honors by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
