ZIMMERMAN – Hiram R., 86, Stoystown, died Feb. 11, 2013, at the home of his daughter, Kim. Born Dec. 22, 1926, in Quemahoning Township, Somerset County, son of Frederick B. and Lucy A. (Geisel) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Dolores J. (Stufft), on March 20, 2002; brothers, Vernon A., Harry C., Charles Ray, Cloyd D., George D. and Lewis L.; and sister Catherine Louise Schrock. Survived by children, Kim C., married to Sam Mostoller, Stoystown; David R., married to Patricia (Carey), Friedens; Robin D., Schellsburg; and Sharon L., Annville; grandchildren, Chad Mostoller, married to Robin (Chitester); Jeremy Mostoller, married to Melissa Ritenour; Kristy (Zimmerman), married to Mark Stephens; Erin (Zimmerman), married to Pete Putyrski; Benjamin Shuster; and Heather (Zimmerman), married to Nelson Torres; great-grandchildren, Cole, Kyle and Caden Stephens; Kalena and Ruby Mostoller; Dominick Shultz; and Jocelyn and Isabella Torres; brother, John F., and wife, Freddie, Hooversville; sister, Jean E. Zimmerman, Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Navy veteran of World War II. A retired heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union, Local 66. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club and Stoystown Post 257 American Legion. Hiram enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and doing crossword puzzles. A private family viewing and service will be held.
