Life Story for Anna Yoder (Kutchman)

Anna  Yoder (Kutchman)
YODER – Anna (Kutchman), 94, Laurel View Village, formerly of Davidsville and Camp Hill, died July 3, 2013, at Laurel View Village. Born May 16, 1919, in Jerome, daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Dembitsky) Kutchman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert E. Yoder; brothers, Michael, John, Peter, Joseph, Charles and Harry Kutchman; and sisters Catherine Statnick and Mary Kolesko. Survived by brother, Stephen, and wife, Shirley, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of Daniel Shaffers Inc., Hooversville, and was a former LPN at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital and for Dr. Michael Sewak. In 1962, she married Robert, and they moved to Downingtown, then to Camp Hill and then to Frederick, Md., where they lived until Robert’s death in 1975. Anna moved back to Camp Hill, where she worked as a clerk for Capital Blue Cross until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Camp Hill, and former member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome, and St. John the Baptist Church, Johnstown. She also was a volunteer for the Food Pantry of Harrisburg. Anna enjoyed traveling the world with tour groups and going to the beach. She liked tending to her flower gardens and mowing her lawn. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where Parastas service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church, Jerome. Monsignor Raymond Balta, presiding. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
