NOVAK – Flora Mae (Campbell), 85, Boswell, died unexpectedly Aug. 3, 2014, at home. Born Feb. 18, 1929, in Boswell, daughter of Frank and Ethel (Kaufman) Campbell. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 59 years, Michael Andrew “Andy” Novak, on Oct. 23, 2010; brother, Thomas Campbell, and wife, Mary “Marge” (Dorin); sisters-in-law, Helen Sotkovsky, and husband, Gus; and Josephine Zablotney, and husband, Frank; and brother-in-law, Peter Novak, and wife, Katherine (Sopich); also nieces, Vicky (Zablotney) Klink and Regina Zablotney. Survived by daughter, Nancy Spencer, Erie; son, Michael A. Jr., married to Molly Johnson, Jennerstown; grandchildren, Hannah and Michael S. Novak; nieces, Louann Stephenson and Marisa (George) Lucas; and nephews, Ed and Ray Zablotney, Greg (Karen) Novak and Larry Klink. Also survived by numerous great-nieces and -nephews and lifelong best friend, Carmie (DeLuca) Truscott. A 1947 graduate of the former Boswell High School, where she was class solutatorian. Member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boswell, and Knotty Ladies of the Church. Retired employee of the former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factories and Hunters Market. She was an accomplished self-taught artist. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew’s Church, the Rev. Larry C. Hoover, officiating. INterment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. No viewing will be held at the church.
