Life Story for John E. "Big John" Yoder
YODER – John E. ”Big John,” 56, Jerome, died Oct. 19, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 13, 1958, in Pittsburgh, son of the late John W. and Mary T. (Thomas) Yoder. Survived by wife of 32 years, Kimberly A. (Habel); daughters, Nicole M., married to David Ferres, Camas, Wash.; and Kayla L. Yoder, at home; grandchildren, Dazhon, Elijah, Bryce, Caleb and Pyper; and brothers, Edward Ogline, and wife, Janice, Jerome; and Ray Lasure, Johnstown. John was an avid biker and was a member of ABATE, Somerset Chapter. Viewing will be held from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, Pastor Scott Hostetler, presiding. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery. Donations in John’s memory may be sent to Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 334, Davidsville, Pa. 15928, to help defray funeral expenses.
