David G.  Johnson
JOHNSON - David G., 75, Somerset, formerly of Boswell, died January 9, 2015 at In-Touch Hospice House, Somerset. Born February 5, 1939 in Big Cove Tannery, son of David C. and Laura G. (Gordon) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents, son Charles and sister Jill Moors. Survived by wife of 52 years Linda L. (Alwine); children Lester married to Astrid (Masewezki), Somerset; David E. married to Renee (Martin), Somerset; Deborah married to Douglas Bumbarger, Somerset and Martin married to Shayla (King), Friedens; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother Rudd married to Theresa (Black), Moxham and daughter-in-law Teresa (Wiltrout) Johnson, Somerset. A U.S. Army veteran. A member of Abundant Life Christian Center, Berlin and Somerset Post 181, American Legion. Former member of Somerset County Truckers Association. David was a retired over the road truck driver and an avid NASCAR fan. He was also a very loving husband, father and grandfather. A private interment will be held Friday at Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery with military honors by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service 1:00PM, Saturday, January 17 at Abundant Life Christian Center with Pastor Sam Coughenour presiding.
