Obituary for Dorothy Jane Ridilla (Conahan)
RIDILLA – Dorothy Jane (Conahan), 84, Acosta, died April 25, 2015, at Somerset Hospital. Born Nov. 6, 1930, in Boswell, daughter of John A. and Edna Grace (Hanley) Conahan. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Betty Smith; twin sister Dolores Edmiston; brother, Richard Conahan; and stepbrother, Jake Conahan. Survived by husband of 64 years, Edward J. Ridilla; children, Michael E., married to Karen (Eller), Boswell; Marc B., married to Paula (Lesko), Boswell; Jeffrey N., married to Tammy (Jandrew), Acosta; and Deborah A. Ridilla, Acosta; grandchildren, Valerie (Dave), Adam (Cody), Erin (John), Pepper (Sam), Jason (Krystal), Bryan and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Maggie Mae, Rayne and Lilly Ann; sisters, Dixie Ohler, Wellsburg, W.Va., and Winifred, married to Wayne Querry, Sterling, Va.; sister-in-law, Estella Ridilla, Pittsburgh; special nephew, John Ridilla, Pittsburgh; and numerous other nieces and nephews. A 1949 graduate of Boswell High School, where she was a majorette. She enjoyed reading and attending family picnics in the mountain. Her greatest joy was being with her family. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Viewing from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Kurtis L. Frampton, presiding. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be sent to North Star Youth Outreach, 320 Allegheny St., Boswell, Pa. 15531.
