George "Homer"  Orha Jr.
ORHA– George “Homer” Jr., 80, Ralphton, died June 20, 2015, at home. Born Nov. 8, 1934, in Ralphton, son of George Sr. and Anna (Bartek) Zoldy-Orha. Preceded in death by parents; infant twin sons; sisters, Ann, Margaret, Helene and Irene; and special cousin, Barb Olexa. Survived by son, Dan, and wife, Lisa, Strongsville, Ohio; daughter, Georgann, married to Robert Taylor, Boswell; grandchildren, Tiffanie Peles and Sheldon and Shawn Taylor; special cousins, Jean Chaney and Judy Uphouse; and former wife, Kathryn. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish. George enjoyed growing vegetable gardens, canning, visiting friends and going to grandchildren’s sporting events. He spent most of his winter months crafting wood, especially whittling dogs, and giving his creations to friends and family. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, the Rev. Father Martin Cingle, celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
