FERRARI – Shirley K. (Hay), 81, Jerome, died Feb. 4, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 21, 1934, in Somerset, daughter of C. Lester and Erma K. (Speicher) Hay. Preceded in death by parents; infant son, Frank; husband, Frank M. Ferrari on Nov. 5, 1991; infant sister, Doris Hay; brothers, Clarence and Russell Hay; and sister, Ellen Frances Henry. Survived by son, Brian, Williamsport, Md.; daughter, Tammy, at home; sister, Lois Theil, Ligonier; brother-in-law, Alfred Ferrari, Ormond Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law, Pearl Doherty, Cleveland, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and pet dogs and good buddies, Cleo and Porter. A graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. Longtime employee of Green Gables Restaurant & Mountain Playhouse, Jennerstown. Member of Jerome Volunteer Fire Department and its ladies auxiliary and Jerome Polish Falcons. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, cooking and going to the casinos. Viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Pastor Cecil Lohr, presiding. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be given to the American Diabetes Association by calling (412) 824-1181.
