NYMICK – John E. “Hoopie,” 76, Boswell, died March 3, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 5, 1939, in Boswell, son of Mike and Julia (Janeski) Nymick. Preceded in death by parents and wife, Delrita L. (Fleegle) Nymick, on April 25, 2002. Survived by children, Mark, Boswell; Michael and family, Jenners; and Melissa Nymick, Boswell; grandchildren, Megan Nymick, Jasmine Nymick and Nadia Krouse; stepdaughter, Nicole Capazze, Apollo; stepgranddaughter, Elizabeth Budzina; beloved sister Joan, married to George Winovich, Rockville, Md.; and lifetime friends, Ronnie Kennell and Kenny Lohr. A graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. A second generation iron worker for 42 years with Local 3 in Pittsburgh. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and was an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club, Kennell’s Mill Sportsmen’s Club and Boswell Post 461 American Legion. Viewing will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Deacon Jay Pyle, presiding.
