JERIN – Joan E. (Drummond), 82, Hollsopple, formerly of Hooversville, died March 16, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 2, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of Melvin and Myrtle (Polk) Drummond. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 54 years, Ernest Jerin, on March 3, 2010; daughter-in-law, Denise (Griffith) Clark; twin sister, Jane Boyer; and brother, Melvin Drummond. Survived by children, George Clark, Jerome; Pam, married to Joseph Powers, Hampton, Va.; Diane, married to Jon Lehman, with whom Joan resided; and Ernie “Sim,” married to the former Lisa Reinholtz, Hollsopple; grandchildren, Mark, Jesse, Lindsey, Haley, Mike, Chris, Kim, Melinda and Michelle; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Sister of Nancy Gisbrecht, Boswell; Pat, married to Mike Petrunak, Windber; Richard Drummond, and wife, Shelby, Hartville, Ohio; and Peggy Beener, Hollsopple. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of Alwine’s Dairy, Johnstown; Oaks Poultry, Stoystown; and former Forbes High School. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling and playing cards with her family. Joan was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank Arbutus Park Manor, Conemaugh Palliative Care Unit and Conemaugh Regional Hospice for all their care and compassion. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Saturday at Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville, Pastor Keith Yoder, presiding. Interment, POS of A Cemetery, Hooversville.
