HORNER - Betty Jane (Johnson), 89, Ebensburg, formerly of the Somerset Pike, died April 11, 2016, at the Cambria Care Center. Born Oct. 27, 1926, in Jenner Twp., Somerset County, daughter of Noah and Eliza Annie (Snyder) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents; husand of 67 years, Elmer L., May 14, 2014; son, Randy L., August 18, 1981; sisters, Margaret "Maggie" Smith, Vera "Beck" Horner, Gladys "Toots" Reed, and Mary "Risher" Gilbert; and brothers, George "Bailey", James "Possum", Eugene "Bud", Noah "Joe", and Leonard "Bill". Survived by son, Roger L., married to Frances Ryniak, Clyde, Pa.; daughter, Roxanne E., married to Toby Resh, Thomasdale; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; former daughter-in-law, Lisa (Lamb), married to Gary Albright; special nephew, Ellis "Mooney" Johnson and wife, Irene and sister-in-law, Mary Johnson, both of Jenner Twp.; and brother-in-law, Robert Horner and wife, Nancy, Conemaugh Twp. Also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and in-laws. Member of the Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. She loved gardening, especially tending her roses, ceramics, card playing, puzzle books, and family gatherings. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Friday at Laurel Trinity Church, Pastor Traci Bowman, officiating. Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimers Assoc., 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E201, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222 would be appreciated.
