Donald W.  Yoder
YODER – Donald W., 92, Pilltown, (Jenner Township), died October 17, 2016 at his home. Born April 25, 1924 in Jenner Township. Son of Joseph and Gertrude (Sowerbrower) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Robert, Richard and Joseph Yoder and sisters Bessie and Edna Yoder, Verda Begley and Sara Ash. Survived by wife of 70 years Reita (Hemminger) Yoder; children Judy Ellies, Murraysville; Jerry married to Linda (Lohr), Stoystown and Kathleen married to Joseph Wozniak, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Christine (Todd) Miller, Aaron (Becky) Yoder, Andrew Yoder and Scott and Adam Wozniak; great-grandchildren Daniel and Tori Miller and Kylie, Kacey and Jackson Yoder. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was the last sibling of his immediate family. A special thanks to Terry Stevens and his auction friends. Longtime member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. Prior to retirement, Don was employed by the Government at the Army Reserve Center on Goucher Street in Johnstown. He also owned and operated a tractor and equipment company in Jenner Crossroads for many years. He and Reita were avid antique dealers. Don was a WWII Army veteran and was active in the reserves for 32 years. Viewing from 5PM until 8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 10AM Friday with Rev. Robert G. Kaltenbaugh presiding. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Donations may be given to Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 185, Jennerstown, PA 15547.
