GINDLESPERGER - Emily L. (Friedline), 95, formerly of Pilltown, died November 5, 2016 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born March 29, 1921 in Jenner Township, Somerset County. Daughter of E.H. and Ida (Hoffman) Friedline. Preceded in death by parents; husband Earl C. Gindlesperger on December 18, 1986; son Jack Gindlesperger; great-grandson Brandon Miller; son-in-law Robert D. Miller; brothers Hubert (Evelyn), Gillian (Lillian) and Elvin (Gwen) Friedline; sister Margaret (Harry) Boyer; nephews Harry and Raymond Boyer and brother-in-law Harold (Edith) Gindlesperger. Survived by daughters Joyce Miller, Hooversville; Janet married to Bruce Weirich, Friedens and Joan married to Robert Jenkins, Florida; daughter-in-law Mary Ann Gindlesperger, Pottstown; grandchildren Dawn (Cary) Nider, Meyersdale; Doug (Connie) Miller, Hooversville; Dan (Nina) Miller, Stoystown; Rhonda Farris, York and Karen (Shawn) Snook, Lewistown; 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. A graduate of Boswell High School. Lifelong member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. Emily enjoyed bowling and camping. She also volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels and was a Girl Scout leader. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Friday at Laurel Trinity Church, Jennerstown with Rev. Robert G. Kaltenbaugh presiding. Interment Lutheran Cemetery, Jennerstown.
