Richard F. "Dick"  Gonder
GONDER - Richard F. “Dick”, 84, Boswell died November 30, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born November 25, 1932 in Johnstown. Son of the late Richard H. and Helen D. (Foltz) Gonder. Survived by wife of 63 years Alice J. (Karl) Gonder; children Alayne married to Jerome Yeash, Miami Shores, FL; David Gonder, Mechanicsburg and Lee Gonder and wife Renee, Mechanicsburg and grandsons Michael, Antonio, Aiden and Bryce. A 1950 graduate of Boswell High School where he was the yearbook photographer. He attended Penn State University. A U.S. Navy veteran of Korean War and served in Naval Reserves for 4 years. Retired Field Engineer Manager for IBM with 31 years of service. Member of Elks Club and NRA. He was an official starter at US Collegiate Ski Association National Championships. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing and was an avid photographer and musician. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Monday. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
