The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bernard Runtz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: To the Runtz Family: On behalf of my wife Alice and my aunt Helen Horbiak Pokrifcak, I want to express my deepest condolences to Bernard's family on your loss. I had the privilege of meeting and visiting Bernard and Charles during several trips to the Johnstown/Jerome area where my mother Ann Horbiak Eadler was born and raised. Bernard remembered my mother and aunt from his childhood and he had a wonderful visit with my aunt in 2011. I always looked forward to visiting Bernard, most recently in October 2015. Rest in peace Bernard and blessings to all of you. He will be missed.
