SENUTA – John, 89, Davidsville, died March 8, 2017 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born July 25, 1927 in Blough. Son of Nicholas and Mary (Varvin) Senuta. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Olga Knesz, Diane Owens, Catherine Gall, Helen Checchi, Sophia Magusin and Stella Gillespie. Survived by wife of 64 years Anita R. (Ruis) Senuta; children John married to Anna (Szala), Jacksonville, FL; Gary, at home; Gloria Wright, King of Prussia; Carol Walewski, Boswell; Nick married to Elaine (Dudak), Johnstown and Michael married to Amy (Walk), Huntersville, NC; grandchildren Meila married to Patrick Shine, Jacksonville, FL; Matthew Senuta, Jacksonville, FL; Steven Walewski and wife Shannon, Boswell; Joshua Walewski, Boswell; Chad Walewski, Kunkletown; Spencer Senuta, Huntersville, NC; great-grandson Ethan Walewski; brother Mike Senuta and wife Jean, Olean, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Shade Township High School. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Retired employee of Miller-Picking Corporation, Davidsville. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville where he performed the maintenance duties for many years. Also a member of St. Andrew’s Council 11308 Knights of Columbus, All Saints 4th Degree Assembly 954 Knights of Columbus and Jerome Post 802 American Legion. John enjoyed hunting and doing electrical work. The family would like to thank Grane Hospice and John’s caregivers Kathy and Barbara for all their compassionate care. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held 3PM Friday. Funeral Mass 1PM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville with Rev. Fr. John Voytek, OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal Holy Family Cemetery, Hooversville.
