WILLIAMSON - Maxine B. (Barron), 89, Davidsville, passed from this life March 23, 2017 at Laurel View Village. Born April 13, 1927 in Boswell. Daughter of James D. Sr. and Alyce (Horner) Barron. Preceded in death by parents, precious daughter Candace Lynn, age 16 months, beloved son Jeffry John and brother James D., Jr. and his wife Betty (Zanoni) Barrron. Survived by husband of 65 years John E. Williamson; daughter Jewel Williamson-Burns married to Todd G. Burns; dear twin granddaughters Elizabeth “Lizzy” and Haley Burns all of Pen Argyl, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of former Boswell High School and proud graduate of the Windber Hospital School of Nursing. A retired Registered Nurse for Windber Hospital. Member of St. David’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davidsville. She had many interests such as reading, art, the theater, symphony, doing crossword puzzles and shopping. Maxine was an enthusiastic traveler, loved yearly visits to Rehoboth Beach with family and shortening their winters in Florida with husband John. Enjoyed “rocking chairs”, was an avid Steelers fan, loved music and was always humming. She was thankful to be blessed with a good mind and excellent memory. A cheerful, caring person, devoted wife, mother and “Nana” who was very proud of her family. She lived out her years with spirit and grace, thanking her Lord for her wonderful life. She cherished being with friends, but her biggest joy of all was her family and her home. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel View Village and Interim Health Care for all their loving care given to Maxine. Viewing from 1-3 & 6-8PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Monday at St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville with Pastors Dennis Doebler, Larry Hoover and Jeffrey Bassette presiding. Interment Kaufman Cemetery, Davidsville.
