DOHODA – John, Jr., 90, of Jerome, died April 11, 2017 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born February 12,, 1927 in Jerome. Son of John Dohoda, Sr. and Kathryn Dohoda-Rycyk . Preceded in death by parents, sister, Jenny Nowak, brothers, Joseph and Stanley and son-in-law Donald Keim. Survived by wife of 64 years, former Vilma Kanuck, daughter, Betty Keim, Jenner Township, sons: Tom, married to Cecelia Elliott, Pittsburgh and Larry, Sr., married to Sharon Greeley, Jenners. Grandchildren: Donnie Keim and wife Mandi, Barbie Keim, Michelle and fiancée Nick Brown, Larry Dohoda, Jr. and fiancée Jennifer, Katie Dohoda, Nicole and husband Jarod Lossie and Jason Dohoda, and great grandchildren: Katie, Nicolas, Jared, Alivia, Julie and Erick. Graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. Formerly employed by the Somerset Bus Company and WCRO Radio. Retired from WJAC-TV with 35 years service as a technician. No viewing at the familys request, however friends and family are invited to a memorial mass 11AM, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Anne Church, Rev. Father John Voytek, OFM, Conv. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome, with graveside military rites accorded by Somerset County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The VA Home, Box 319, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 would be appreciated. Arrangements in charge of Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
