HUNSBERGER - Ruth, 90, Davidsville, died peacefully April 19, 2017 at Laurel View Village. Born January 3, 1927 in Johnstown. Daughter of Oscar and Alice (Hershberger) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents; husband Earl H., Jr. on November 17, 2011; an infant son; 2 great-grandsons and sister Loretta “Toppy” Allison. Survived by children Kathryn married to Timothy Histand, Sellersville, PA; Phyllis married to James Oswald, Strasburg, PA; Mary Lou married to Gerald Oswald, Shickley, NB; Juanita married to Dean Yoder, Davidsville; William Hunsberger and wife Jeanette, Davidsville; Ruth Ann married to Daniel Moyer, Doylestown; Daniel Hunsberger and wife Mariela, Hollsopple and Greg Jones, Wichita, KS; 36 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren and sister Fern Hostetler, Harrisonburg, VA. Ruth was a graduate of Richland High School and Goshen College, Goshen, IN. She volunteered at a hospital in Puerto Rico for 2 years. A retired school teacher for Richland and Ferndale schools and Johnstown Christian School. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville where she was a Sunday school teacher, song leader and a member of the Women’s ministry. Also a member of Gideon’s International and was a 4-H leader. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing. Friends received from 5-8PM Friday, April 28 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Friends also received from 10AM until time of service11AM Saturday, April 29 at Kaufman Mennonite Church. Inurnment at a later date at Doylestown Mennonite Cemetery, Doylestown, PA. Donations in Ruth’s memory may be sent to Laurel View Village Caring Fund, 2000 Cambridge Dr., Davidsville, PA 15928.
