SMITH – Doris J. (Bowser), 70, Somerset, died May 6, 2017 at home. Born March 3, 1947 , in Jenner Township. Daughter of Archie F, and Genevieve R. (Carpenter) Bowser. Preceded in death by parents, brother David F., February 16, 2014 , David’s wife, Lois E. (Maust) Bowser, November 18, 2013; sister Ruth C. Beal, May 27, 2016, and sisters-in-laws Cora June Smith and Joyce Snow. Survived by husband of 48 years, Frank G. Smith; brothers-in-law Ronald L. Beal, Dilltown and Guy Smith and wife Carol, Jenners ; Sister-in-law , Lois, married to David Turner, Somerset and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 1965 graduate of former JBJ High School. Retired licensed practical nurse from the Somerset Hospital. Member of Grace Brethren Church, Somerset. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Wednesday, Pastor Tom Johnson, officiating. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Memorials to DaVita Dialysis Center, 229 S. Kimberly Avenue, Somerset, PA 15501 would be appreciated.
