Richard A.  Wingard
WINGARD – Richard A. “Rich”, 74, Davidsville, died May 13, 2017 at home. Born March 23, 1943 in Johnstown. Son of Woodrow W. and Joanna (McAchren) Wingard. Preceded in death by parents and sister Judith A. Waters. Survived by wife of 51 years Donna J. (Frederick) Wingard; children Trevor married to Cheryl (Newton), Somerset; Melissa married to Louis Cabo, Johnstown and Randy and special friend Nida, Johnstown; grandchildren Emily and Isabel Wingard; Max and Ian Cabo and Alex Wingard; brother of Marlin and wife Patti, Michigan; Barbara married to Ed Shoemaker, Davidsville; Trudi married to Donald Alexander, Somerset; Ruth married to Hans Kohan, Cherry Tree and Harriet married to Larry Kush, Thomas Mills. Also survived by brother-in-law Curtis Waters, Davidsville and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1962 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years. A retired tractor trailer driver for Sani-Dairy where he was employed for 38 years. Rich enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends and attending car shows with his 1965 GTO. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. At his request, a private family service will be held. Inurnment Richland Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
