Charles J. "Crow"  Runtz
RUNTZ – Charles J. “Crow”, 92, Jerome, died May 14, 2017 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born September 22, 1924 in Jerome. Son of Julius and Marcella (Tenzyk) Runtz. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Eleanor, Mary, JoAnn and Frances and brothers Frank, Ted and Bernard “Bunce”. Survived by sister Bernice Pelesky, Michigan; special great nephew and niece, Chris and Carol (Drummond) Lasky, Boswell, and his pride and joy, great-great niece, Hannah and great-great nephew, Noah “Bud”. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville; S.O.A.R.; Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons of America and Jerome Sportsmen. Crow enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, having been well known for his garlic. He also enjoyed watching baseball, especially Hannah and Noah and was a former PIAA umpire. Viewing from 5-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held 5PM Tuesday. Funeral Mass 10AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville with Rev. Fr. Karl Kolodziejski, celebrant. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome.
