KNUPP - Betty I. (Schilling), 93, Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset, formerly of Gray, died May 23, 2017 at Siemon’s. Born October 7, 1923 in Somerset. Daughter of Herman and Margaret (Fluke) Schilling. Preceded in death by parents, husband Dwight Knupp, daughter Linda Berkey, sons Richard “Dick” and Donald Knupp, several brothers and sisters and son-in-law William “Jim” Miller. Survived by children Shirley married to Erle Sipe, Bedford; Carol Miller, Gray; Beverly Buckham, Boswell; Bill Knupp, Bowie, MD; Cheryl Knupp, Meyersdale; Marylee Knupp, Virginia and Rose married to Ron Holt, Rock Hill, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother Donald Schilling and wife Marilyn, Somerset and daughter-in-law Mary Knupp, Bristol, VA. Betty had been employed at former White Star Hotel, Jennerstown, Grants Department Store, Somerset and Holiday Inn, Somerset. She loved shopping, especially yard sales and reading, baking, cooking, word search puzzles and writing songs. Viewing from 5-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Friday with Rev. Andrew Broucher presiding.
