MULLEN – Carol A. (Mosholder), 79, Boswell, went to heaven on June 24, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born December 6, 1937 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (Smith) Mosholder. Survived by son Jeffrey L. married to Carolyn (Aden) Mullen, Hollsopple; grandchildren Derek and Jill Mullen; brother Gary D. and wife Judith, Boswell; sisters Linda L. married to Robert G. Shoemaker, Jr., Somerset and Becky L. Mosholder, Thomasdale; nephews Gary S. Mosholder and wife Sheri, Sykesville, MD and Robert G. Shoemaker, III and wife Kristin; niece Laura A. Shoemaker married to Patrick Yaple, both of Pittsburgh; 3 great nephews and 1 great niece. A 1955 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. Retired employee of North Star Schools. She then was employed by Somerset County Housing Authority, retiring in 2003. Lifelong member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Cathedral Choir member, Board of Administration member and secretary of Crusaders Sunday School Class. Member of Boswell Senior Center, Goldenaires and Widowed, Divorced and Single Ladies Group. Carol enjoyed playing cards and planting flowers. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was always in attendance at any of their activities. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a Deacon service will be held 5:30PM Wednesday. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Thursday at Roxbury Church of the Brethren with Rev. James H. Braunns, Jr. and Rev. Brian N. Simmons presiding. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery, near Jerome. Donations in Carol’s memory may be sent to Roxbury Church of the Brethren, 112 Sell St., Johnstown, PA 15905.
