BECONY - Robert J., 88, Jennerstown, died July 31, 2017 at Laurel View Village, Davidsville. Born May 6, 1929 in Central City. Son of Steve and Mary (Mauger) Becony. Preceded in death by parents and brother Steve. Survived by wife of 39 years Doris J. (Gilbert) Becony; children Roberta married to Dave Williams, Niles, OH; Doris married to Bob Loftis, Johnstown; Kathy married to Bob Walker, Johnstown and Bob, Boswell; stepchildren Kim (Shesko) married to Don Messer, Friedens and Tim Shesko and wife Tina, Boswell; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and brother John, Ohio. Retired owner of R.J. Becony Plumbing & Heating and former Maintenance Supervisor for Boswell Water Authority. Member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending winters in Nokomis, Florida. A memorial service will be held 10AM Monday, August 7th at the Laurel View Village Chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Bassette presiding. A private inurnment will be held at St. James Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell.
