SHAWLEY – Phyllis A. (Reighard), 97, The Patriot, Somerset, formerly of Jenners, died August 15, 2017 at The Patriot. Born July 24, 1920 in Johnstown. Daughter of Russell and Rella (Shank) Reighard. Preceded in death by parents, husband Arthur M. on May 26, 1977, brother Glenn and sisters Jean and Beulah “Boots” and many other relatives. Survived by children William R. married to Monica (Koontz), Stoystown; James D. and companion Kelly Thorsen, St. Petersburg, FL and Patricia A. married to William Dale Fritz, Somerset; grandchildren Eric Shawley and wife Jackie, Johnstown; Tanya Oliver, Somerset; Jason Fritz and wife Renee, Manheim; William J. Shawley and wife Carrie, Somerset and Matthew Shawley and girlfriend Stephanie, Jenner Township; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Marietta Lowry, Johnstown and Ora Walters, Arizona; brother Donald, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of former Jenner Grace Brethren Church. Phyllis enjoyed traveling all over the country by bus with her sister Marietta, listening to her children and grandchildren play music, keeping things neat and clean and serving others. She was also a devout Christian who liked to read her Bible. Viewing from 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 9:30AM Saturday with Rev. Michael A. Dunlap presiding. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome. Donations in Phyllis’ memory may be sent to Laurel Highland Alzheimer’s Foundation, 317 Power St., Johnstown, PA 15906.
