Obituary for Joseph A. Leosewski

LEOSEWSKI – Joseph A, 98, Pittsburgh, formerly of Gray, died December 28, 2017 at home. Born March 8, 1919 in Bando. Son of Stanley and Stephanie (Lasky) Leosewski. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 69 years Assunta M. “Sue” (DelSignore) Leosewski; son John F. Leosewski and his wife Lynn; sisters Agnes Leosewski and Blanche Kondik and brothers Walter, Stanley and Raymond. Survived by children Donna M. married to Dr. Larry Brown, Washington, DC; Antoinette A. “Toni” married to Joseph Hadobas, Pittsburgh and Bernadette J. married to Dr. James Burgess, Gibsonia; grandchildren Alexander Brown, Julia and James Burgess and Albert Coleman; sisters Ann married to Al Radziewicz, Cleveland, OH and Sophie Shaulis, Jacksonville, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh to be closer to his children, he was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish. A Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII having served in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Retired union stone mason and brick layer. Joe enjoyed spending time gardening, hunting and fishing and spending time with family. He was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Viewing from 3-6PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a vigil for the deceased will be held 3PM Tuesday. Funeral Mass 10AM Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. John Voytek, OFM Conv. Celebrant. Committal Mt.
