JOHNSTON – Brett J., 35, Friedens, was granted his angel wings February 5, 2018, in Pittsburgh. Born October 7, 1982 in Somerset. Son of Larry and Patricia (Haines) Johnston. Preceded in death by grandparents: Edith and Charles Johnston and Patricia and Walter “Dutch” Haines. Survived by parents, Jenners; wife, former Brittany Putman; daughter, Morgan Kinsinger; brother, Larry R “Chicken” and sister , Emma. Also survived by many life long friends. Brett was loved by so many and had a contagious smile that could light up a room. Brett’s life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by him understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was a 2001 graduate of North Star High School. He was active in football and wrestling. He enjoyed being with friends, riding quads, hunting and fishing. Former employee of Norse Dairy Systems, Somerset. No visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
