LUBAS - Anna Lea (Hoffman), 90, Tire Hill, passed peacefully February 10, 2018 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born September 23, 1927 in Hancock, MD. Daughter of Joseph and Thelma (Cubbage) Hoffman. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 71 years John Lubas on July 12, 2017; son-in-law James Gruca; brothers Leonard Hoffman and his wife Alice, Joseph “Junior” Hoffman and his wife Donna and Kenny Hoffman and his wife Opal; sister Alice Orris and her husband Dick and sister-in-law Minnie Hoffman. Survived by daughters Judith Gruca, Cranberry Township and Barbara married to Irvin “Skip” Hobba, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Jennifer married to Ryan Jaso, Sarasota, FL; Michael Gruca, Mars and Jessica married to John Ziller, Oswego, IL; great-grandchildren Grace Ann and Bryce Irvin Ziller and Jack Ryan Jaso; brother Willard Hoffman, Hollsopple; sister Jean married to John McGowan, Murrells Inlet, SC; sisters-in-law Janet Pfender, Drumore, PA and Helen Taylor, Lincoln, CA; brother-in-law Jacob “Bud” Lubas and wife Barb, Hollsopple and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna Lea attended Conemaugh Township High School. She married her husband John on November 27, 1946 in Cumberland, MD. Employee of former Ferndale Bakery. A retired seamstress with former Jonny Jax Sewing Factory, Hollsopple. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Anna Lea enjoyed camping with friends and relatives at “Buddies”, baking, sewing, quilting and a good family poker game. Former member of St. David’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davidsville. We love you mom and we will miss you. If we could give you a diamond for each truth you helped us see, each heart ache you had known and the wisdom you had shown, you would have had a treasure that would mount up to the skies. Rest in peace with those we have all missed whom have gone before us. Viewing from noon until time of service 1PM Saturday, February 17 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville with Bishop Emeritus Gregory Pile presiding.
