WEAVER – Alfred G. , 95, Davidsvillle formerly of Boswell and Roaring Spring died February 10, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 8, 1922 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. Son of Jesse and Polly (Yoder) Weaver. Preceded in death by parents, 1st wife Marie (Weaver) Weaver in 1986, 2nd wife Helen (Keim) Blough in 2010, son Col. Bryan Weaver, sister Zona Slick and brothers , Merle, Robert, Boyd and Harry. Survived by son, Alan G. and wife Barbara, Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Shelly Weaver, Beaufort, SC; stepchildren Joyce E., married to Larry Williams, Boswell and Doris G., married to William Ross, Central City; grandchildren Rhoda, married to Michael Shields; Robin, married to Rich Darago; Margaret Weaver; Grant; Kurt and Trent Weaver and several great grandchildren; step grandchildren Michelle, married to Gabe Ambrozaitis; Tyler Williams; Amy, married to Michael Levan and Scott Ross married to Dr. Michele and several step great grandchildren. Graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. Army Vet of WWII, having served under Gen. George S. Patton’s 3rd Army, 89th Div., 354th Infantry Regiment, I.E., The Rolling “W’s”. Retired animal nutritionist for Pennfield Food Corp., York. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church. Former Scout Master in the Davidsville area for many years. Memorial service will be held at Laurel View Village Chapel 11AM Saturday, February 24th, Rev. Jeffrey L. Bassette and Rev. Wes Yoder, officiating. Private interment was held at Kaufman Cemetery, Davidsville. Arrangements Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
