BLOUGH - Robert M., 93, Jenner Crossroads, died February 18, 2018 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born August 15, 1924 in Jenner Twp., Somerset Co. Son Michael J. and Stella (Holsopple) Blough. Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers; Harold, Richard and Dean and 2 sisters; Beatrice Mostoller and Mabel Cole. Survived by wife of 71 years, former Margaret A. “Peggy” (Zimmerman) Blough; children Kathleen married to Dave Bubner, Jennerstown; Robert, Jr. married to Irene (Geisweidt), Jenner Township; Kevin married to Dory (Barkman), Sipesville; Timothy married to Beverly (Matsko-Berkebile), Boswell; David, Rockwood and Janine married to Wendell Freed, Acme; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving as a medic in the European Theater, including Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe and earned 5 bronze service stars. Retired Journeyman Lineman for IBEW #126 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). Member of Somerset Grace Brethren Church. Bob enjoyed making model airplanes out of balsa wood and various other woodworking and artist projects. He was a true role model for friends and family. Private family viewing and service, Pastor Tom Johnson, officiating . Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Military Honors accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
