JANECZEK – Augusta Mae (Johnston), 81, formerly of Somerset, died March 27, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Towson, MD. Born December 25, 1936 in Jenners. Daughter of Clair E. and Florence A. (Holler) Johnston. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Donald and Clair and his wife Ruth; step-mother Stella (Sierocky) Johnston who was Augusta’s primary caregiver after the death of her mother in 1937 and her father in 1940. Survived by husband of 61 years, Eugene F. Janeczek; children Amanda R. married to William Weyant; Judith K. married to John Bisasky, Jr.; Jean R. married to Steven Wall; Connie M. married to Robert Nittinger and Eugene F. “Butch”, Jr. and wife Patricia (Gable) Janeczek; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; half-sister Patricia A. married to John Meyers and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset. Augusta was a beloved housewife, mother, friend and devoted Catholic and will be missed by many. A caretaker for her children and grandchildren; she had a kind, generous heart and always wanted to help others. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a vigil for the deceased will be held 5:45PM Monday. Funeral Mass 11AM Tuesday at St. Peter’s Church with Rev. Fr. Daniel O’Neill, celebrant. Committal Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Augusta was a lifelong contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the family asks that donations in her memory be sent to this organization at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
