SAYLOR – James E., Sr., 77, Ferrellton, died May 3, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 8, 1940 in Jenner Township. Son of Earl F. and Eva (Grasser) Saylor. Preceded in death by parents; daughter Theresa Paxton and her husband Larry; stepmother Rita (O’Brien) Saylor; special mother Margaret Thomas; former wife Rosemary (Bertolini) Saylor; special friend and companion Marjorie Shaulis; brothers John, Jacob, Earl “Fred” Saylor and Maurice “Pete” Thomas and sisters Anna Blough and Grace Pyle. Survived by children Melissa married to Wayne Gnagey, Salisbury; Christina married to Robert Gohn, Somerset; Regina married to Bob Foltz, Somerset; Susan Scaife, Daytona, FL and James E. Jr. married to Lori (Weis) Saylor, Shanksville; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters Nancy widow of Clyde Manges, Jerome and Eva Mae widow of Robert Felix, Hollsopple; brother Raymond and wife Roberta, Boswell and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A 1958 graduate of J.B.J. Joint High School, Boswell. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel-Bar, Rod & Wire Division. Member of New Baltimore Sportsmen. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. The family would like to thank the staff of Conemaugh Hospital Palliative Care Unit for all their kindness and compassion. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 12PM Monday with Deacon Jay Pyle presiding.
