SIEHL – Matthew P. “Bub”, 57, Davidsville, died August 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Matt was a person of strong faith and following a long illness, has entered his heavenly home. He bravely faced his death and welcomed the opportunity to meet his Lord. Bub was born May 8, 1961 in Johnstown, the son of devoted parents Matthew and Patricia (Korns) Siehl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle Jack Korns, aunt and uncle Lois and James Siehl and cousin Douglas Siehl. Survived by his children Kyle and girlfriend Kirsten Ringler, Kory and wife Kelsey and Britany and fiancé Clayton Nair; sister Laura Halliday, aunt and uncle Doris and Ron Siehl, aunt Connie Korns, special friend Tammy Young and many cousins. A 1979 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. A member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville. Bub’s life interests were focused on his children and his work. He was a 40-year employee of North American Hoganas in Johnstown, where he served as the company’s Shipping Coordinator. He enjoyed his job and was well liked by his coworkers. Bub was a loyal and enthusiastic Steelers fan and loved sports in general. He was a fun-loving person who will be greatly missed by his family and special friends Bruce and Billy Naugle who were a great part of his life. He was a very generous person who was devoted to his children. His family always came first. Perhaps his daughter Britany summed it up best, “He is the best man I know.” Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. A memorial service will be held 11AM Tuesday at St. David’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry C. Hoover presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in Matt’s name may be sent to a charity of your choice.
