Obituary for Mary Ann Simpson (Pelesky)

SIMPSON - Mary Ann "Mecca" (Pelesky), 88, West Chester, OH, formerly of Jenners, died Sept. 9, 2018 in Cincinnati, OH. Born April 23, 1930 in Jenners, daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Lefchik) Pelesky. Preceded in death by parents; husband Roy G. Simpson on May 22, 1986; brothers John, Michael and Stephen Pelesky and sisters Ann Snitzer, Helen Kovach and Irene Pelesky. Survived by adoring daughter, Marianne (Simpson) Schulz and beloved son-in-law, Dr. Mark Schulz, both of West Chester, OH; devoted grandchildren, Michael and Kristen Schulz also of West Chester; sister Nettie Deriscavage of Philadelphia; brothers, Joseph and Nicholas and sister Evelyn Pelesky all of Jenners; devoted Godchild, Irene Kovach of Jenners and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was truly a special person who lived her life tirelessly devoted to her family and will be deeply missed. A solemn, quiet viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, Sept. 14 from 6:00-8:00PM at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a Panachida will be held at 6:00PM. A brief prayer service will be held 9:15AM Saturday, Sept. 15 at the funeral home, followed by Funeral Service at 10AM at St. Mary’s Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Jenners with Rev. Father Robert Buczak officiant. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery in Jerome to follow. Donations in Mary Ann’s memory may be sent to St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 5222 Front St. Jenners, PA 15546.
