NIKONOW – Michael “Nick”, 81,Hooversville (Pretoria) passed away October 13, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 10, 1937 in Yeagertown, PA. Son of Max and Helen (Prociak) Nikonow. Preceded in death by parents; brother Paul and his wife Jean Nikonow and brother-in-law Robert Wojnarowski. Survived by wife of 60 years Patricia L. (Wojnarowski) Nikonow; daughter Debra and her husband Kerry Holsopple; grandson Nickolas Holsopple; brother Andrew and his wife Beverly; sisters-in-law Marlene and her husband Daniel Kawaguchi and Patricia Wojnarowski; aunt Julia Prociak; numerous nieces and nephews and pet dog Mickey. A 1955 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel and Johnstown America with 40 years of service working as a Millwright. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bicycling, camping, traveling, being in the great outdoors and repairing things. He was a lifetime member of the Jenner Rod & Gun Club and The Good Sam Travelers Club and member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. There will be no viewing, however family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville with Rev. Fr. Angelo J. Patti celebrant. Entombment Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be sent to St. Anne Ladies Guild, PO Box 500, Davidsville, PA 15928.
