We trust that this service will give you one more reason to give the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services serious consideration when seeking a funeral home that is pro-actively working towards providing you the highest standards of services and facilities while offering sensible and affordable solutions. We can even assist you with financing, if necessary. You can click here to see what many of the families we have served have to say about us.
When compared to other major life cycle events, like births and weddings, funerals are not that expensive. A wedding costs at least three times as much; but because it is a happy event, wedding costs are rarely criticized. A funeral home is a 24-hour, labor-intensive business. Contrary to popular belief, funeral homes are largely family-owned with a modest profit margin.
Some expect our charges to be higher given we offer more services than our competitors, our level of professionalism, the quality of our facilities and our ethical standards. We pride ourselves on pricing all of our services fairly. Many funeral homes overcharge traditional funeral customers and undercharge cremation customers simply because cremation customers often times are more price conscience. These funeral homes will advertise low cremation prices but then use high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy additional products and services. We’re not salesmen, we’re funeral directors. We're not going to try to sell you something you don't want or need. We believe in being open and honest about our pricing. If you’re shopping around make sure the price you’re quoted includes everything that we include.
Our cost for a Direct Cremation is $2595* which includes:
Transportation from the place of death
Refrigeration if there is no embalming
A container for the body to the crematory
Meeting with the family to finalize details
Delivery of ashes to the family or cemetery
Filing of forms such as death certificate, permits, social security, veterans & miners benefits and other pensions, insurances, etc.
Placement of an obituary in newspapers and on our website
(*Discounts are available when payment is received in full. Please contact the funeral home.)
We are pleased to also provide you with a full disclosure of our professional service charges. A list of funeral costs is mandated by the Federal Trade Commission. Every funeral home is required to make this list, called a General Price List, available upon request for comparison by the consumer. However, funeral homes are not required to disclose prices on their websites, therefore many do not. We feel we have nothing to hide. That's why we have chosen to show our prices here as well as on our merchandise page. Because comparing prices can be confusing, we invite you to contact us for any clarification.

Other Possible Costs
Some of the other types of merchandise you may select are: urn vaults, cremation urns, clothing, keepsakes and stationary. Again, each is itemized based on your selection.

Cash disbursements or cash advances are third party costs that are typically part of a funeral but are not listed on the funeral home's price list. We will cover these expenses and place them on our account as a convenience to the families we serve.
Strict legislation ensures that these items are not marked up and only the exact "cost" is included on the funeral account. Typical cash disbursements might include:
