Mary F.  Vogel (Grasser)
VOGEL – Mary F. (Grasser), 69, Thomas Mills, died Feb. 12, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 19, 1945, in Johnstown, daughter of James and Martha (Trevorrow) Grasser. Preceded in death by parents; son, Douglas E. Vogel Jr.; twin sister, Martha Grasser; and father- and mother-in-law, Edward and Lila (Moschgat) Vogel. Survived by husband, Douglas E. Sr.; daughter, Jennifer, married to Terry Sleasman, Tire Hill; and grandchildren, Melissa and Nicholas Sleasman. A 1964 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School and a graduate of Memorial Hospital Surgical Tech Program. Member of Dunmyer Lutheran Church, Richland Township. Mary enjoyed reading, but her passion, her enjoyment and her pride were her grandchildren, Nick and Missy. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care given to Mary at Memorial Medical Center ICU and Cardiac Fitness Center. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dunmyer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor Nila Cogan, presiding. Following cremation, interment will be held at Thomas Mennonite Cemetery at a later date.
