READ – Virginia O. “Ginny” (Wilt), 84, Stoystown, died Nov. 7, 2015, at In Touch Hospice House, Somerset. Born April 15, 1931, in Newry, daughter of Chester and Leora (Noll) Wilt. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Thomas P. Read; son, Ronald P. Read; three brothers; and two sisters. Survived by children, Donna Read, Somerset; Emily, married to Harold Frazier, Irwin; Philip Read, married to Stacey (Shontofski), Stoystown; and Leora Read, Stoystown; grandchildren, Kelly and Shanna Read, Ronald Read Jr., Andrew Sambol, Elissa Peters, Stephanie Barbuschak, Samantha Schmidt, Nolan Read and MacKenzie Read; and great-granddaughter, Megan Peters. Virginia was a retired postmaster for the Hooversville Post Office, and member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville. Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, the Rev. Father Karl Kolodziejski, celebrant. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Homes, Davidsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia’s memory may be sent to In Touch Hospice, P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
