GIBSON - Elsie K. (Adams), 89, Boswell, died November 29, 2016 at Meadowview Nursing Center, Berlin. Born June 18, 1927 in Allenvale. Daughter of William Earl and Catherine (Baldwin) Adams. Preceded in death by parents, brother Kenneth Adams, sister Lois Horner and former husband Ermyl Gibson. Survived by children Beverly Newman, Boswell; Jeffrey Gibson and wife Suzanne (Brant), Friedens and Bonnie Gibson, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Bryan Newman and wife Brenda, Stewartstown; Joshua Gibson and wife Cayla, Cresson; Matthew Gibson and wife Renee, Ridgley, WV and Christopher Newman and fiancé Sasha, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and 6 great-grandchildren. A graduate of Somerset High School. Retired employee of Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell with 35 years of service. Member of ILGWU. Attended Somerset Alliance Church. Elsie enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell with Pastor Don Robson presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie’s memory may be sent to Somerset Alliance Church Building Fund, 708 Stoystown Rd., Somerset, PA 15501. Interment United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jennerstown.
