RUNTZ - Bernard F. “Bunce”, 89, died December 9, 2016 at Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Born July 22, 1927 in Jerome. Son of the late Julius and Marcella Runtz. Preceded in death by parents, wife former Helen Nosal, Oct. 28, 1982, sisters Elanor, Mary, and JoAnn, brothers Frank and Ted. Survived by sisters, Frances Lasky, Johnstown and Berniece Pelesky, Michigan, brother Charles ”Crow”, Jerome, special great nephew and niece, Chris and Carol (Drummond) Lasky, , Boswell, and his pride and joy , great great niece, Hannah “honey bun” and great great nephew, Noah. Graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. US Army Vet of WW II. Retired employee of former Johnstown Works Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member St, Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, Hollsopple Post 8861, VFW, S.O.A.R, Jerome Sportsmen Club, Jerome Post 802 American Legion and Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons of America. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where Vigil For The Deceased will be held at 2PM Monday. Funeral Mass 10AM Tuesday at St. Anne Church, Rev. Father John Voytek, O.F.M. Conv., celebrant. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome. Military graveside service accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
