TURNER – Stella L. “Honey” (Jodlowsky), 89, formerly of Acosta, died May 13, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born April 23, 1928, in Acosta, the 9th of 12 children of John and Josephine (Keck) Jodlowsky. Preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Leanne Donnelly-Turner, November 10, 2006, husband of 66 years, Raymond J., Jr., February 3, 2014; sisters Rose, Carol, Mary, Sophie, Helen, Josephine and Irene and brothers; Joseph and Frank. Survived by sons; Raymond J, III, married to Elva Weimer, with whom she resided after her husbands death and Robert L., married to Carol A. Taveirne, who reside next door in Quemahoning Township; grandchildren John and wife Yvonne, Florida; Michelle, married to Brian Eastly, Glenshaw; Stacy Donnelly, Canada; Mark A. and wife Kate, Johnstown and Elizabeth , J.D.,married to Capt. Michael Watson, LA, CA; great grandchildren Michael, Ashley, Alexander, Meghen, Brenda, Robert, Quinn, Elyssa, Kyra, Cayden and Diana and sisters Veronica Rhea and Dorothy ‘Toots” Smith. She left home at age 16 to work in a defense plant in Michigan. Stella also worked at the former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment factories in Boswell, known as the “upper and lower” factories, and also in the Jerome factory for a short time. She enjoyed spending time with her 2 sons and their families, her siblings and their families and special “back yard friends” in Acosta, especially Mary, Emma Gean and Janice. She was a wonderful baker, who was well known for her pies and an excellent homemaker. Stella will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends, and anyone who had the good fortune to know her. Member of All Saints Parish. Viewing from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell, where Vigil For Deceased will be held Wednesday afternoon. Funeral Mass 10AM Thursday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, Rev. Father John Voytek, OFM Conv. Celebrant. Committal St. Joseph Cemetery, Ralphton. Memorials to the Boswell Volunteer Fire Department, 606 Hower Avenue, Boswell, PA 15531 would be appreciated.
