TOTH – Shawn M., 44, Hollsopple, passed away May 25, 2017 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital Pittsburgh after a 20 year battle with digestive diseases. Born April 5, 1973 in Buncombe County, NC. Son of Michael L. and Sharon L. (Cable) Toth. Preceded in death by father and grandparents John and Lucille (Kaufman) Cable. Survived by mother, Hollsopple; daughters Desiree and Autumn; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and best friends Kevin Botteicher and Jeff Thomas. Attended Conemaugh Township Area High School and graduated from the EMS program at Conemaugh Hospital where he was also employed. Shawn spent years as a volunteer fireman with Ideal, Conemaugh Township, Hollsopple-Scalp Level and East Freedom fire departments. He was a member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, near Jerome. Shawn was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan, a history buff and enjoyed listening to heavy metal rock music. He also loved his God and animals. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeanne Spencer, Dr. James Gregory and the staff at Conemaugh Hospital for years of care. Friends received from 2-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Friends also received from 10AM until time of service 11AM Wednesday at Maple Spring Church with Rev. Guy Myers presiding.
