KOENIG - Helen F. (Kohler), 88, Hollsopple, died August 13, 2017 following a brief stay at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born June 24, 1929 in Johnstown. Daughter of Walter T. and Florence M. (Kloss) Kohler. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Walter, Francis and John Kohler and sister Teresa Milavec. Survived by husband of 64 years Leroy J. “Red” Koenig; sons Daniel R. married to Evamarie (Teno), Boonsboro, MD and Donald J. married to Patricia (Huzsek), Davidsville. A very loving grandmother to Kevin and wife Brianne, Cumberland, MD; Tracy married to Mike Blair, Boonsboro, MD; Carey married to Robert Custer, Evans, GA and Jordon and wife Hannah, Ambler. A very loving great-grandmother to Shelby, Gavin, Larissa, Chloa and Cain. Also survived by brother Herbert Kohler, Maugansville, MD. A 1947 graduate of Johnstown High School. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville where she sang in the choir and was an active volunteer. Helen loved being around children. She also enjoyed reading and tending to her birdhouses and hummingbirds. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held Wednesday afternoon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Franciscan Friars Conventual 10AM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. Committal St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Geistown.
