John P. "Jake"  Philibin Jr.
PHILIBIN - John P., Jr. “Jake” ,72, Richland, went to be with our Lord and Savior November 6, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 16, 1945 in Pittsburgh. Son of John, Sr. and Dorothy (Grimm) Philibin. Preceded in death by parents and niece Tricia Philibin. Survived by wife of 53 years Jo Ann (Boyle) Philibin; children John and wife Laurel, Alexandria, VA; Jeff and wife Jerene, Johnstown; Kris married to Joel Weaver, Windber; Kati married to Brian Streletz, Chambersburg and Mike and wife Christie, Johnstown; grandchildren Thomas Philibin; Daniel and Stephen Philibin; Aileen, Tabitha and Rachel Weaver; Rebecca and Justin Streletz and Morgan and Makena Philibin; brothers Ed and wife Lynn, Clayton, NC and George and wife Grace, Johnstown and special friends Kathy and Bob Getzey, Johnstown. A former Sales and Service Rep for multiple companies including Highland Tank & Manufacturing and Addressograph Multigraph. An active member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville. He lived his faith through serving others and by following his motto, “God’s in charge.” Jake adored his wife. His family, especially his grandchildren, brought him much joy. He enjoyed woodworking and making people laugh with his unique sense of humor. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Saturday at Kaufman Mennonite Church with Pastor Wes Yoder and Pastor Keith Yoder presiding. Inurnment at a later date at Kaufman Cemetery, Davidsville.
