Steven M. "Mick"  Jordan
JORDAN – Steven M. “Mick”, 56, Broadway, VA formerly of Jerome, passed away peacefully January 25, 2018 at home in Virginia. Born December 22, 1961 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by mother Donna (Hassell) Jordan and mother-in-law Wanda (Kauffman) Horner. Mick is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Christine N. (Horner) Jordan; daughter, Dana Hernandez (Carlos); son, Eric (DeAnnah); father Norbert (Florence); brothers Tom (Laurie), Bob (Carol), and David (Erin); father-in-law Jack Horner (Joyce); brothers-in-law Tim Horner (Sonya) and Barry Horner (Rose) and numerous nieces and nephews. He attended Conemaugh Township Area Schools and graduated from Johnstown Vo-Tech in 1980. Mick worked at Galliker’s Dairy in Johnstown for 26 years, and White Wave Foods in Virginia for 3 years. He served as a dedicated volunteer firefighter for 11 years at the Jerome Volunteer Fire Co. and was Team Leader for the Somerset County Swiftwater/Flood Response Team. Member of Centennial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing blackjack at the casino with his friends and betting on horses at the Charlestown Race Track. Mick’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife and children. He had a warm smile and welcoming hug for everyone and was always quick to lend a helping hand. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Tuesday at Centennial United Methodist Church, 426 Northfork Road, Johnstown. Interment Thomas Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mick’s memory may be sent to J.V.F.D., PO Box 425, Jerome, PA 15937.
