Carlton D.  Yoder
YODER - Carlton D., 79, Davidsville, went to be with the Lord January 31, 2018 at Laurel View Village. Born May 6, 1938 in Davidsville. Son of Henry J. and Ruth V. (Saylor) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents and wife of 50 years Audrey C. (Gindlesperger) Yoder on December 11, 2009. Survived by children Willean K. Yoder, Talmage; Dale L. married to Christine (Krenisky) Yoder, Davidsville; Jean Ann married to Brian Thomas, Jerome and Christiane L. married to Michael Blough, Soap Hollow; grandchildren James and Jennifer Yoder and Clayton and Nathaniel Blough; sister Betty Yoder, Davidsville; special friend Lois Spory, Hooversville; sisters-in-law Donna Thomas, Soap Hollow; Dwynell married to Butch Boyer, Hollsopple and brothers-in-law Dwight Gindlesperger and wife Linda, Tire Hill; Frank Gindlesperger and wife Louise, Windber and Darwin Gindlesperger and wife Donna, Johnstown. A 1956 graduate of Johnstown Mennonite School, now JCS. Retired electrician for Local Union #5, Pittsburgh with 50 years of service. Attended Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Hollsopple. Member of Stahl Mennonite Church where he led congregational singing and directed the Easter Cantata for over 20 years for the Johnstown area Mennonite churches. Carlton was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed building puzzles and listening to gospel music. The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel View Village for all their compassionate care given to them and Carlton. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Funeral service 11AM Saturday at Maple Spring Church with Rev. Guy Myers presiding. A private interment will be held at Stahl Mennonite Cemetery.
