Marianne  Hay (Dickey)
HAY – Marianne (Dickey), 67, Friedens, went to be with the Lord February 2, 2018 at Somerset Hospital. Born April 28, 1950 in Pittsburgh. Daughter of James and Dorothy (Hilsdon) Dickey. Preceded in death by parents; mother and father-in-law Nancy and Clarance Hay and brother-in-law Thomas Hay. Survived by husband of 46 years Robert K. Hay; sons Robert E. married to Amy (Koshewitz), Somerset and Stephen J. married to Lauren (Rywak), Richmond, VA; grandchildren Ethan and Cooper Hay and Emma Hay; brother James Dickey, Pittsburgh; sisters-in-law Sandy married to Mike Horner, Johnstown; Joyce Hay, Friedens and Ruth married to Cecil Lohr, Stoystown; brother-in-law Randy Hay and wife Trena, Friedens and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1968 graduate of Plum High School and a 1971 graduate of Forbes Hospital Nursing School. A former Registered Nurse with 39 years of service. Her nursing career began at Somerset Hospital where she worked on the surgical floor. She then worked in the Oncology Department for many years at Somerset Hospital and then at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital before retiring in 2010. Member of Zion Hoffman Lutheran Church, Friedens, the Seventh Society of Farm Women and numerous cattle organizations. Marianne enjoyed scrapbooking in her spare time. She especially loved time with her family and being a grandma. Viewing from 2-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Monday at Zion Hoffman Church with Rev. David Bowman presiding. Interment church cemetery.
