Porter  Lintz Jr.
LINTZ, JR. – Porter, 93, Jerome, died February 21, 2018 at home. Born March 18, 1924 in Meyersdale. Son of Porter, Sr. and Stella (Smith) Lintz. Preceded in death by parents; wife Aleda M. (Shroyer) on December 2, 2000; stepdaughter Joan Naugle; brothers Glenn and Ralph and sisters Ruth Sheeler and Bernice Miller. Survived by sons Barry and wife Debra, Jackson, TN and Douglas and wife Dorothy, Jerome; stepchildren Perry Benson, Jerome and Paulette Boyza; grandchildren Douglas Lintz, Jr., Holly Deasy and Bobby Lintz; brothers Willard and wife Barb, Jenners and Kirby and wife Louise, South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. A U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII having earned 4 Bronze Stars. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Car Shop Division, Johnstown with over 37 years of service. Porter enjoyed photography and building scale model homes. Member of Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons, Jerome Post 802 American Legion and former Jerome Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Conemaugh Home Health and Hospice for all their kindness and compassion given to Porter. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a service will be held 11AM Saturday with Pastor Denise Todero presiding. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery with military honors by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. Donations in Porter’s memory may be sent to American Cancer Society, 1004 N.
